I love the three Radiance powders, Breathe, Exhale and Glow, that Makeup Revolution originally released – in fact, they are on my ‘holy grail products’ list. So when Makeup Revolution released a new Beyond Radiance palette I couldn’t wait to try it out. This new palette contains three subtle highlights in white, pink and champagne tones. Unlike the original Radiance powders, you can only buy this range in palette form (no individual pans available).
The first shade in the palette is a creamy white shade and this is my personal favourite of the three. It shows up as a brightening, yet subtle highlight on my fair complexion.
The pink shade is not quite light enough to be brightening on my skin but does offer some subtle glow and I have used this as a blush topper over matte blushes.
Lastly, we have the champagne shade. Again, this is a bit too dark on my pail skin to be brightening, but it does offer a nice glow. I have actually been enjoying this to set my under-eye concealer and swept across the whole face for added glow. I imagine that this shade would work better as a highlight for people with darker complexions than mine.
These powders are extremely finely milled and there is something about them that feels quite luxurious to me. As you can see from the swatches above, we are talking subtle glow here rather than the more shimmery highlighter style that you may have come to expect. These are lovely for everyday wear and for work contexts and are extremely flattering on the skin. I would put these in the ‘no makeup, makeup’ basket as they are very natural and blend seamlessly.
If you are looking for a daring highlighter statement, this is not the palette for you.
If I had to recommend one product from either the Radiance palette or Beyond Radiance palette I have to admit that I would pick the original Radiance palette every time. Every powder in the original has a clear purpose in my routine and I love them all. Click here for my complete review of the Radiance powders. Saying that, the Beyond Radiance palette is a very nice addition to my collection and I have enjoyed it very much so far.
Have a wonderful day 🙂
