We are up to day 6 of MR Salvation Series already which kind of makes me sad. It has been too much fun to be swatching and playing with these palettes every day. If you haven’t read the rest of the posts in this series I encourage you to do so 🙂
DAY 6: What You Waiting For?
‘What you waiting for?’ is also in my top three from the Salvation palette range. This is the best neutral palette in the range in my opinion and perfect for work wear. It has a really nice mix of rose, taupe and brown tones and I think they are just so wearable. It is one of those palettes that makes it really difficult for even a makeup novice like myself to stuff it up. Everything I do with this palette looks pretty because the colours are all so complementary.
So lets cut this baby in half for a close up look.
I’m not sure what to say about the left side of the palette other than these colours are so pretty. Unfortunately the swatch photo doesn’t really do the colours justice as it was a weird, cloudy day of strange lighting and I just couldn’t get a decent photo. I love the combination of ‘now its only me’ (swatch 4) all over the lid with ‘take a chance’ (swatch 6) on the outer part of the eyelid, with ‘million dollar contract’ as a transition shade in the crease. So soft and pretty.
The right side of the palette offers darker tones and again, I really like these neutral shades. I am all about those mauve and rose colours. ‘Sex chromosome’ (swatch 3) and ‘Life is short’ (swatch 6) are glitter shades but I feel like they have a satin formula base rather than matte base, so I think these blend nicely. These glitter eyeshadows work much better for me than the glitter shadows in the ‘Hard Day’ Salvation palette. In fact, I actually really like the cranberry loveliness of ‘sex chromosome’ and have used it a number of times to darken up the outer corner of the lid. Very nice.
‘What you waiting for?’ is a really beautiful palette. It is so neural which makes it great for everyday wear, and it is just so pretty! If I had to choose just three palettes from the Salvation range I would pick ‘Run Boy Run,’ ‘What You Waiting For?’ and ‘Girl Panic.’ They are only AU$12 anyway, but at the moment Makeup Revolution are having a 3 for 2 deal so you could actually pick your choice of these Salvation palettes for a really good deal. You can see for yourself here.
Have a wonderful day beautiful people and I will see you tomorrow for the last instalment of the MR Salvation Series – 7 palettes in 7 days!
