Models Prefer Eyeshadow Quads

Today I am going to have a look at a brand a little closer to home for me – Models Prefer.  Models Prefer is a brand exclusive to Priceline in Australia.  Priceline, the makers of Models Prefer, can confirm that Models Prefer products are cruelty-free but they do not readily provide a list of ingredients so that vegans can verify appropriate products to meet their needs.  The product I want to review from this brand today are their Customised Eyeshadow Quads.

These quads come in three colour combinations: ‘Espresso Yourself’ which is a neutral quad with three shimmers and one matte; ‘Style Icon’ which includes a navy blue and also includes three shimmers and one matte; and finally ‘Hook Me Up’ which is a full quad of shimmer shades including a really stunning cranberry colour.

These shades are really soft and velvety so you will need to tap off your brush before applying.  The shimmer shades are beautifully pigmented and blend quite well.  The mattes are workable but they are not as pigmented although they are buildable and they can be a little powdery, particularly the cream matte shade in the ‘Style Icon’ quad.  I think the quad colour collections work really nicely together although I tend not to use them in the order suggested.  My only complaint would be that ‘Espresso Yourself’ is the only quad in the range that offers a nice, matte crease colour so generally I would need to use a matte colour in addition to the quad selections of ‘Hook Me Up’ or ‘Style Icon’.  This isn’t really an issue but I do like it when I can complete my look from a single palette.  I have worn all three of these quads to work and they last quite well with a primer.

I like these Models Prefer Eyeshadow Quads.  They are budget-friendly overall, but at AU$10.99 each they aren’t as good value for money as eyeshadow palettes from brands like Makeup Revolution or Freedom Makeup London from the UK which I would say are better quality for less money.  Saying that, these quads are certainly convenient to access in Australia and it is nice to be able to swatch and purchase them in store at Priceline to avoid postage costs and delivery wait time.  Plus they are cruelty-free so, if you like them, why not give them a try!?!

I hope you have a wonderful day!
