I was never really about blush so my recent blush addiction has come as a bit of a shock to me. I have YouTube tutorials to thank for this blush renaissance because now that I have a better idea about how to apply these pretty powders suddenly I am all about that in my life. I actually put off buying these blush palettes from Makeup Revolution because I felt like I already had enough blush to last a lifetime (which is probably an accurate assumption) but finally I caved because these just looked so convenient and so pretty and I told myself they would be really practical for travel and, well, here we are. I purchased two of the palettes from the range which includes four different colour combinations. The two palettes that I chose are ‘Sugar and Spice’ and then ‘Hot Spice.’
The Sugar and Spice palette is a mix of six matte colours and two baked, shimmer colours in pink and neutral colour tones.
The Hot Spice palette is a combination of warm, peachy and coral tones including four mattes, two mattes with tiny glitter particles and two baked, shimmer shades. From the two blushes that contain glitter particles, I have not found that the glitter transfers to the face particularly which is good as I am not really about glittery blush. Overall, these blushes are nicely pigmented, a little bit powdery and the baked, shimmer shades feel quite dry to the touch but I have found them to blend well and once on the cheeks they look lovely. I think the range of colours in these two palettes is really great and with both these in your life you wouldn’t need any other blush! I like these palettes. They retail for 6 pounds which is about AU$12 making each blush worth about AU$1.50 – a bargain for good quality, cruelty-free blush! If you want to try these for yourself you can find them here: Ultra Blush Palettes
Have a wonderful day!
